PEGASUS WORLD CUP INVITATIONAL 2022

There’s only one time a year when obnoxiously big hats & puffy dresses are encouraged in So Florida & it’s for its premier annual derby the Pegasus World Cup Invitational at Gulfstream Park.

I’ve been lucky enough to DJ this special event since it’s inception in 2017 & every year truly gets better! Back performing for VIP ticket holders in the Flamingo Room, this year the room collaborated with Faena’s cabaret show “Tryst” for small performances in between DJ sets & culinary provided by the highly anticipated LA transplant, Delilah. Of course, the room is also setup for live viewing of the race… but let’s face it, we’re really only there for the music & drinks!

The day long event started at 10am for me & lasted way until sundown when the derby turns into a full on concert on the track. This year’s line-up was a 90’s throwback with performances by Ja Rule, Lil Kim & Mase. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day with the weather dropping down to 60 degrees (the wind however, was not favorable to hats!)

Thank you to 1/st Entertainment for adding me to the line-up, already looking forward  to (and planning attire for) next year!

SUPER BOWL 2020

My first Super Bowl in my hometown as a DJ was an absolute win!

It had been 10 years since the Super Bowl was last hosted in Miami. Long enough to forget how many amazing events take place leading up to the Big Game, and I had the pleasure in taking part in some of the most prestigious ones of the week.

In collaboration with some of the biggest names in sports, I was invited to DJ for the Miami Super Bowl committee to kick-off the first official media event of the week, multiple nights at the prestigious NFL House at the Faena Forum for the NFL staff, several days with the game’s broadcasting network, Versace (you know Shakira’s half-time performance? Guess who designed that…) FOX Sports, and the official pep rally (for what would be Super Bowl LIV’s champion) the Kansas City Chiefs.

Thank you to the amazing production companies and friends who all made these connections possible. Already making plans to head north of Florida for next year’s Big Game!

MIAMI OPEN x MOET CHANDON

The Miami Open is one of my favorites events of the year, and for obvious reasons… Champagne (what else?!) This year the tennis tournament was moved to it’s new location at the Hard Rock Stadium, but one thing remained the same, the Moet Lounge inside was still the most exciting activation throughout the entire two weeks.

For two weeks, I called this tent my home and everyone I worked with family. Can you name a better place to play any kind of music you want, while drinking endless amount of champagne… go ahead, I’ll wait!

Thank you to ManMar events & the entire Moet team for having me back another year!

PEGASUS WORLD CUP INVITATIONAL

The Pegasus World Cup Invitational returned for its 3rd year to Gulfstream Park with a $16 million purse, making it the richest race in North America. As one of South Florida’s most entertaining & glamourous day events of the year, I was beyond excited to return in full derby attire & provide the all-day tunes at the race’s VIP level, the Flamingo Room. Up & away from the wet weather, here VIPs enjoyed bites from some of my personal favorites, including Swan & Bar Bevy, and G.H. MUMM champagne. The race drew 10,000 fans, celebrities, horse racing elites, influencers and socialites even on the rainiest day.

At the end of a long but eventful day, there were two championship races with City of Light, ridden by Hall of Fame Jockey Javier Castellano, claiming the $4 million first place finish for the Pegasus World Cup Invitational, and Bricks and Mortar, ridden by Eclipse Award-winning Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr., taking the first place $3 million purse for the inaugural Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational.

Just off memory, we had Snoop Dogg, Dennis Rodman and Evander Holyfield in my room, and Mark Ronson even stopped by the booth for a quick chat, before he headed downstairs to headline the LIV Village Stretch. Many thanks again to The Stronach Group for the special invitation. Looking forward to making this a yearly tradition!

IRIE WEEKEND XIV

Another year of Irie Weekend in the books! Back for it’s 14th year, DJ Irie’s birthday turned celebrity weekend celebration brings Miami 3 days of day to night events all to support his charity the Irie Foundation, which seeks to empower South Florida’s at-risk youth to lead productive lives through mentorship programs, cultural experiences and scholarship opportunities. It’s both an honor & privilege to support him on his journey to bring experiences to children that might not have the chance to take part in otherwise, due to their personal circumstances.

Like every year, IW kicks off with a celebrity-driven golf tournament, which was taken for the first year to the all-new Topgolf in Miami Gardens. Bright & early, Celebrities such as Joey Fatone, Alonzo Mourning & more all gathered to play for charity. Of course, the E11even fam had to take golfing to a whole new level by transforming all three levels into a multi-level nightclub experience, including a special activation on the rooftop which I had the pleasure of DJing. The full day event ended with of  a concert stage rolled out onto the green by E11EVEN Music, with performances by Ludacris & Jamie Foxx.

The next few days followed with beach bashes & late nights/early mornings at both LIV & E11even and it all wrapped up on Sunday with a new addition to the weekend,  Turn Down For Brunch at the Fontainebleau. The menu featured a crazy array of items including Pink Waffles with Truffled Ranch Dressing, Bourbon Infused Maple Syrup, Edible Gold Dust, S’mores Ice Cream Paninis, and plenty of mimosas, (trust)! I provided the party vibes all day while  Jonathan Cheban, co-hosted.

Thanks to my amazing clients/friends at Artist Related & E11even for the inclusion all weekend long. And of course, big thanks to the busiest man I know, Irie, who always finds the time to put others first.

MIAMI OPEN x MOET CHANDON

For years I’ve enjoyed the Miami Open as a spectator, this year I had the privilege of playing exclusively for one of my favorite brands, Moet, for the highly anticipated 2 week tennis tournament. Anyone attending the match in the open-aired stadium in Key Biscayne knows how unforgiving the heat can be… thankfully Moet Chandon setup an air-conditioned lounge with endless cold bubbles and music conducted by yours truly.

It can be challenging to DJ consecutive days at an event without overplaying songs, but with such a versatile (and FUN) crowd, I never ran out of things to play and the crowd never stopped dancing. Huge thank you to ManMar Entertainment for the plug and shout out to Gabrielle Union for stopping by during the Women’s finals… Already looking forward to next year!

FOX SPORTS x DAYTONA 500

Last time I was onboard DJing on this mega-yacht was while filming an ad campaign with David Beckham… this event was much different.

The $40 million Seafair, which is typically docked in Miami made it’s way up to Daytona for the annually anticipated, Daytona 500, and well… so did I. Although we never set sail, the party hosted by Fox Sports was docked at the Halifax Harbor Marina, for racers and other select VIPs. Guests enjoyed levels of food & drinks as well as a firework show & a performance by country artist Jake Owen up on the sky deck where I was also setup to play.

MLB ALL-STAR WEEKEND

Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game came to Miami for the first time this year to play its 88th annual game at Marlins Park, but the festivities began long before that first pitch.

I was honored to soundtrack a magical night that transported VIP guests from the Major League Baseball Association along with current MLB players for the exclusive “Dinner on the Diamond” event hosted by Bank of America. The event held at the Temple House was the perfect setting for projection mapping that allowed guests to actually dine on 7 different baseball stadiums across the US. Of course, the music was specifically selected to distinguish each state (Think Frank Sinatra’s New York New York, Tony Bennett’s I Left My Heart in San Fransisco, etc…)  Aside from an amazing dinner and cocktail reception, the event included a discussion panel with key & legendary players including Pudge & Alex Rodriguez.

ROXY FITNESS TOUR

Roxy Fitness has set out to combine all three elements (Run  – SUP – Yoga) with the global reach of the #ROXYFITNESS tour.  The event took place on Deerfield Beach, FL & included a 1K stand-up paddle boarding race (SUP), 5K run on the sand, and a 60 minute yoga on the sand with certified yoga instructor Amanda Mestre. The beach event started at 8:15am and after a long night playing at my South Beach club residency, I’m glad I was there supplying the music & not taking part in the actual physical activity. My hats off to all  412 strong women who competed over the tops of waves & under the grueling Florida heat until noon.

event is hitting our local beach on Saturday. Two of our local IWS ladies headed out to get ready. Check out their day on the beach and shop the ROXY Fitness collection.

Lots of love to the sponsors, Island Water Sports (IWS), Kind bars, Core water, Kombucha and Sun Bum who kept the contestants hydrated & healthy. And of course a special shout to ROXY for bringing together so many powerful women for a day of fun & fitness.

PEGASUS WORLD CUP INVITATIONAL 2017

This past Saturday, I not only attended my first horse race, I was also asked to take part of the star-studded line-up for the 1st ever Pegasus World Cup Invitational and what is now the richest horse race in the world. With over 12,000 stakeholders, celebrities, socialites and racing fans filling up seats at Gulfstream Park, it was the most highly anticipated match-up in Thoroughbred racing history between California Chrome and Arrogate.

I had the privilege of playing a set between personal favorites, DJ Cassidy & Ruckus inside 10 Palms that hosted more than 600 VIPs and A-listers including Vanessa Hudgens, Aaron Paul (GUSH), Emmanuelle Chriqui (Love her!), Gene Simmons (of KISS… legend.), Karolina Kurkova and Usher just to name a few. After the races, I took the main stage following multi-platinum artist Thomas Rhett while E! News host Maria Menounos reported live on NBC behind me. A huge Thank You to both E11evn & The Stronach Group for the honorable invite.
