HOUSE OF PERONI

I’ve gotta give it to Peroni for putting together some of the most interesting installations. House of Peroni was created as a pop-up experience located in Palm Court in the heart of The Miami Design District. The 80’s era inspired House featured multi-media experiences designed after Italy’s eccentric ‘Memphis’ design movement. I kicked off opening night alongside a musical performance by Afrobeta.

Special invited guests enjoyed art and interactive installations, and of course, Peroni infused cocktails. The House remained a meeting place for collaboration and inspiration over the course of five days. I returned on the final day to perform a special daytime Parisian-pop DJ set that closed out the House. Thank you Peroni for the experience & constantly keeping creativity & culture alive.

VEUVE CLIQUOT x HALLOWEEN

Couldn’t have spent Halloween in better company than with Veuve Cliquot. Their annual Yelloween event was hosted at Zuma Miami on Halloween night and I was thrilled to provide the spooky soundtrack. The asian themed night included everything from scary stilt walkers to LED Robots and of course, endless flows of champagne throughout the night. 

Things definitely got weird as guests danced to everything from Outkast to Vampire Weekend to The Cure to Major Lazer. Thank you to ManMar entertainment & Veuve for an incredible production. Can’t get over all the amazing costumes I encountered all night. Till next year…

MIAMI SWIM WEEK 2017

Swim Week was a 6 day marathon and I enjoyed every sleepless minute of it!  For the past 3 years, I’ve been kicking off this city’s sexiest week of fashion with Miami Magazine’s annual opener “Splashion” sponsored by South Florida BMW Centers and previewing 2018 swimsuit collections by Peroni Emerging Designers’ Indah, Ola Feroz, Vilebrequin, and My Bestfriend’s Closet. This year, the show also collaborated with a presentation by the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders and I also had the privilege of sharing the turntables with fellow friend, DJ Irie.

 

Day 2 showcased one of the week’s most anticipated shows, the 6th Annual Peroni Emerging Designer Series at the Nautilus hotel. I was honored to DJ this event once again before viewing the runway show featuring 10 finalists including Bianca Coletti and 2016 Winning Designer Sea Jasper, all debuting their Italian inspired designs.

Newly added to my personal line-up this year, was the 7th annual Style Saves fashion show fundraiser which I’ve attended as a guest each year. Behind the decks this time, it was an absolute pleasure to play this sold-out event hosted by Rocky Barnes and Paulina Vega at The Setai, along with providing the runway music for designers such as  Alice & Olivia and ishine365.

Saturday & Sunday was fun under the sun with two amazing daytime events. Treats Magazine! brought some Swim Week paradise to 1 Hotel South Beach with an exclusive poolside all-white party. I was right in my element providing the poolside sound for hundreds of bikini-clad models and celebrity guests including Leo DiCaprio. To close up, I joined Peroni once again, at East Miami where Brickell City Centre retailers showed their latest summer styles.

Too many sponsors to mention all, but a special thank you goes to long-time clients Modern Luxury, 1 Hotel South Beach, Style Saves, Funkshion and of course, Peroni Nastro Azzurro. Can’t wait to do it all over again next year… but first, sleep!

BANFI WINES PERFECT PAIRINGS SERIES

If there’s two things I love, it’s wine & well… LOVE. So of course, I was game to help Banfi Wines and Zoosk by providing the perfect soundtrack for pairing these two things.

The popular “Perfect Pairing” Series kicked off in my hometown and will continue in other cities across the nation later this year. Castello Banfi, Italy’s premier wine estate, and leading technology-driven dating company, Zoosk, have have put  together an event to help singles find their perfect pair in wine and dating. The night consisted of wine tastings, delicious bites from Olla Miami, a speed dating experience and music by yours truly. Banfi wine sommeliers were also around to educate which foods pair best with their leading wines, Centine, San Angelo and Rosa Regale.

I’m not sure if any matches were made that night, but we definitely had a great time trying!

BELVEDERE x SPECTRE 007 FILM RELEASE PARTY

After performing for the Belvedere Roadshow at Temple House, I was invited to DJ the after party for the private screening of the  highly anticipated 24th Bond installment, SPECTRE, at the 1 Hotel Rooftop on South Beach. The red carpet event included an appearance by actress Stephanie Sigman, who plays the role of Estrella in the movie’s opening scene.

Bond girls kept the Belvedere 007 martinis flowing while I kept the party goers moving, mixing dance classics with some of the best of Bond theme music.
